What is a LinkedIn QR code?

A LinkedIn QR code is a QR code that points at your LinkedIn profile URL. Someone scans it with their phone camera and your profile opens straight in the browser or the LinkedIn app, so they can connect without searching your name and guessing between three people who share it.

It is just a link QR under the hood, which means it works everywhere a camera does, with no app required to scan. The code is static and never expires, so the printed badge from last year still works.

How it works

Copy your LinkedIn profile URL

On your profile, open the "Contact info" panel or the "Me" menu and copy your public profile link. It looks like linkedin.com/in/your-name.

Paste it in and style

Drop the URL into the field above, then pick a palette and module style if you want it to match your card or deck. The preview updates live.

Download and place it

Save the PNG and add it to a business card, conference badge, slide, or email signature. One scan opens your profile.

Where a LinkedIn QR code helps

Business cards

Print it next to your name. A new contact lands on your profile and connects before they have left the conversation.

Conference badges and lanyards

Let people connect with you by scanning, instead of typing your name into LinkedIn search and hoping.

Presentation slides

Put it on your closing slide. The room can connect with the speaker without a "what was your name again?".

Resumes and portfolios

A scannable profile link on a printed resume takes a recruiter straight to your full work history.

Questions

Where do I find my LinkedIn profile URL?

On desktop, click "Me" then "View Profile" and copy the address bar URL, or open "Contact info" for the public link. On mobile, open your profile, tap the share icon, and choose "Copy link to profile".

Does it open the LinkedIn app or the browser?

If the person has the LinkedIn app installed, most phones open your profile directly in the app. If not, it opens in the mobile browser, where they can still view and connect. Either way the scan just works.

Will the QR code still work if I change jobs?

Yes. The code points at your profile URL, not your current role, so it keeps working as your profile evolves. It only breaks if you change your custom profile URL itself.

Can I make one for a company page instead?

Yes. Paste your company page URL instead of a personal profile and the code opens that page. The tool does not care which LinkedIn URL it is, as long as it is a valid link.

Does the LinkedIn QR code expire?

The code holds your profile link, baked into the pattern, so it works as long as that link stays yours. No account sits behind it and nothing on our servers can lapse. The one thing that would break it is changing your custom LinkedIn URL.

Is it free to use commercially?

Yes, and with no attribution. Print your profile code on cards, banners, or a conference backdrop. It is an ordinary QR pointing at a public LinkedIn page, so there is nothing to license.
